I began incorporating vulva casts into my work in 2020, driven by a desire to facilitate a dialogue about this part of our bodies, which is often shrouded in shame, stigma, and subject to sexual abuse. Through these casts, I seek to celebrate and normalize the diversity of vulvas, creating art that proudly reveals what is typically hidden. This body of work serves as a direct challenge to patriarchal and heteronormative constructs that dictate and shape so many aspects of our lives. By presenting these intimate sculptures, I aim to empower individuals to reclaim their bodies and narratives, fostering a space for reflection, healing, and resistance against societal norms. This portfolio not only showcases the beauty and uniqueness of each cast but also stands as a testament to the strength and resilience of those who have participated in this project.
